I was in a lousy mood today, especially in light of the nonsense that I went through with my visa and aborted travel plans. I was seriously considering bailing on this gig, but stumbling upon this little reminder helped me to see my situation with almost as much perspective as Spinal Tap standing at the grave of Elvis. I also read today that a 24-year-old student is bravely accepting that she’s going to have her hands amputated because of flesh eating bacteria. I’m proud of this work.
